Nookly began on a quiet evening when I watched my wife, a child behavior therapist, preparing visual supports for a child she was seeing the next day. She struggled with outdated tools, and worse, she couldn’t find characters that looked like her patient. She wanted the young boy to feel seen and valued, but the resources just weren’t there.That moment took me back to my own family. My younger sister struggled in a one-size-fits-all classroom without the personalized support she needed. My mom, a kindergarten teacher, not only gave her all to her students but also fought through the complexities of the IEP process as a parent. Nookly is built for them—for my wife, who fights for inclusive learning; for my sister, who deserved better support; for my mom, who carried the weight of both educator and parent, advocating for her child.And for every teacher, therapist, and parent working tirelessly for their children—we see you. We’re here to lighten your load and bring more joy to learning along the way.

Nookly started with a feeling—one I’ve carried since childhood, sitting around the table with my family, watching the VHS cartoons my dad collected for us. Those moments weren’t just entertainment; they were magic, shaping how I saw the world and felt connected to the people I loved. But life isn’t always predictable, and when I lost my dad, my mum reminded me that raising a child isn’t something you do alone—it takes a village, a little bit of magic, and a lot of love. That’s why I built Nookly. Parenting is full of uncertainties, and sometimes, we all need a helping hand. The right magical moment at the right time can shape a child’s world, just like it did for me—and I want every parent and professional to have the tools to create that same magic. Nookly is my love letter—to my dad, who filled our home with wonder and made every story feel like an adventure, to my mum, whose strength and warmth reminded me that no one navigates life alone, and to the many teachers who lit the way, believed in me and shaped my love for stories and the belief that they can change the world.
